The Nesian Narratives Toolkit embodies our vision for a comprehensive health and wellbeing education. This curriculum resource toolkit has been designed primarily for Pacific tamariki aged 4-5 in the Early Childhood Education context in Aotearoa New Zealand, while also being inclusive and beneficial for children of non-Pacific descent.
Why is this important? This resource helps tamariki develop critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and culturally affirming self-view, including regarding their bodies. These skills build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience, enabling them to navigate life’s challenges and form healthy, respectful relationships.
